Crew Wednesday: Atlantic Station

I had been looking forward to Crew Wednesday all week so when the announcement was made that we’d meet at Atlantic Station I was excited! I was gaining a routine and enjoying learning, exploring, taking photos, meeting new people, and editing the photos.
Just like March 13th & March 27th Ace vlogged; Drone Jones, Bryan Keith, and Rod flew their drones; and when Ace would want to take photos others would vlog. I love the archival aspect of documenting so being able to look back and see this day from multiple perspectives is so cool to me.
There was an even larger turn out this crew walk. I met some super cool people whose work I really enjoy. When you watch Part 1 & Part 2 of the vlog check the caption for their Instagram Handles. We walked around Atlantic Station taking photos then down to 17th Street Bridge before heading back to Atlantic Station and Blaze Pizza for dinner.

The leading lines in ATLantic are my favorite part of the photo.
Atlantic is one of my favorite photos from this Crew Walk because I use multiple photography techniques I’d learned like the sun flare, natural framing from the location, and editing.
Find Me got it’s name from the Asaka The Renegade song lyrics - “drop the pin and let you know I’m right here, I was hoping you would come find me” because Atlantic Station can be confusing sometimes.
Y’all know how much I love the number 13 as you read in Crew Wednesday: Boss Up Day so when I seen 13 three times I had to snap the photo. Then when I was editing I decided to count the steps and there are 13 steps!
Ace got some cool reflection shots while we walked around that he shared in his #ReflectionsOfAGemini3 Series. I look forward to his series every Gemini Season.
Construction
As we walked out of Atlantic Station towards the 17th Street Bridge there was construction being done. At the time I was in therapy and I felt like I too was under construction. I took a few photos and one on accident because I felt like we’re all under construction.

While on the bridge as you can see in Part 2 of the vlog it got really fun! Exchanging Instagram Handles, standing on the bridge, someone even did handstands in the middle of the street!
Shadow Play is such a dope picture to me!
I almost didn’t share “Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete?” - Tupac but once I seen Ræ B’s New Dawn/New Day I was inspired.
Feel∙less By Lexii Alijai was one of my favorite songs at the time. I loved the lyrics. She was talking about chasing her dreams and at that time I was navigating moving across the country, losing friends, and figuring out who I was. I felt like in that moment taking this photo of the Atlanta skyline it reminded me I had to make some decisions so I could follow my dreams to Atlanta. Rest In Peace to Lexii, I’m thankful that her music lives on.
